About the Role:
The Tailored Closet in Houston, TX is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Closet Installer to join our growing team! In this hands-on role, you'll transform clients' spaces by bringing custom closet and storage solutions to life — one perfectly installed system at a time. Responsibilities:
- Install custom closet systems, garage storage, home office solutions, and other organizational products at client homes
- Read and interpret installation plans, blueprints, and work orders accurately
- Measure, cut, and assemble components to precise specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently on job sites
- Ensure all installations meet quality standards and client expectations
- Communicate professionally with clients during on-site visits
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and company vehicle
Requirements:
- Prior experience in carpentry, cabinetry, installation, or a related trade preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools (drills, levels, saws, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to read measurements and follow technical installation instructions
- Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
- Valid driver's license, legally able to work in the US and reliable transportation
